Goal:                                   Join an active application development team using my Web and Object-Oriented skillsets and new experience in Embedded Development to build the new IoT (internet of Things) environment!

Summary:                           Ten years of database development followed by ten years of web development has provided me with the expertise to follow an new interest in embedded development and engineering. 

Experience:                        September 2020 – Present Technician, Field Nation.

December 2018 – January 2020 Computer Instructor, Green Brook Electronics.  Mentored several students in IoT on Arduino Framework.  Wrote book on Embedded Electronics.

                                             February 2016 – Present – Vice President, The Idaherma Museum of Art Foundation, Inc.  Work with offshore development team to build and maintain a Drupal presence for a family foundation.

                                             May 2013 –December 2014 System Developer, Middletown, NJ Insys Consulting Group, Inc.   Created new operational dashboards at AT&T by refactoring legacy systems written in PHP, Perl, C, C++ and ksh.   Documented new systems, creating Wiki entries, Technical Overviews, Release Notes.  Worked in an Agile development team.   Programmed Database procedures in proprietary language.  Recoded Perl web applications.  Performed shell scripting and C/C++ coding to meet Project Requirements using Feature Tracking System.  Used CVS, SVN, GIT.  Successfully launched Big Data project. 

October 2012 – April 2013 System Developer Evan Williams Consulting. Somerset NJ, Operated print and online newsletter using PHP Python and Plone CMS technology with weekly distribution of about 400 copies.  Front-end, built using PHP and Zend Framework consumes Python data through a JSON interface from the CMS.  Other features include LDAP authentication and document management, and Twilio integration.

August 2012 – October 2012 System Developer New York, NY GroupDCA a PD1 Company. Used PHP, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, XCode, JQuery, and PhoneGap to create iPad application.  Responsible for writing PHP module to access MongoDB and return business-centric objects and data.

June 2012-July 2012 System Developer, New York, NY Pod1. Provided Magento consulting for high end fashion websites.  Designed Implemented and Wrote Refer-A-Friend module for use within the Magento ecosystem.

January 2012 – May 2012 System Developer Union, NJ, Bed Bath and Beyond. Provided Zend Consulting and PHP design and coding for sales website.  Designed and Implemented Zend Framework-based codebase for new website.

April 2010 System Developer, New York, NY Blue Wolf Consulting Group, LLC – Served as an onsite Zend PHP consultant at an interactive agency, 360i during the completion of a project. 

February 2009 – January 2010 System Developer Wall, NJ Medivault, Inc. –  Designed complete class structure from the ground up.  Created technical project plan for implementation of software: given wireframes designed software implementation.  Utilized PHP Smarty Javascript JQuery Elgg Facebook and other technologies.

August 2008 – February 2009 System Developer Optima Global Solutions, Inc., Hamilton, NJ – Managed and Developed Project for 3-tier Zend Framework on PHP5 and using JSON XML-RPC and Dojo.  Refactored existing code base to provide Top-Down design of project website using Postgres data source. 

                                             August 2007 – July 2008 System Developer Coverclicks Media, Inc, New York, NY – Provided PHP Object Oriented Programming skillsets.  Worked with Agile Programming practices on development team.  Created Report Requisition and Implementation workflow.  Managed Project using PHP Object-Oriented programming on the Zend Model View Controller platform.  Created PHP Classes from Software Design and modeled those classes using UML principles.  Built interface to proprietary banking system using PHP classes.

                                             January 2006 – December 2006 Database Developer Opici Wine Group, Glen Rock, NJ – Designed, Implemented and Tested SQL Server stored procedures to compute retail incentive award.  Wrote system in SQL Server 2000 and VB6. 

May 2004 – December 2005 Presales Engineer STDataVault, Inc., Iselin, NJ – Served as Veritas presales engineer.  Became certified on Veritas Data Protection and High Availability.  Solved customer implementation problems.  Designed solutions for Data Backup and Recovery as well as high availability.

                                             April 2002 – April 2004 Database Developer Payroll Funding Group, Princeton NJ – Developed prototype for C# SQL Server Reporting System.

                                             February 2000 – April 2002 System Developer Almac Group, Inc., Newton PA – Coded 15 Interactive Voice Response Systems for Pharmaceutical Clinical Drug Trials using Good Clinical Practices and CFR21 Part 11.  Skills used included Visual Basic 6.0 Microsoft Access and C++.
